Women's Network January Luncheon 2012

You won’t want to miss the Fifth Annual ATHENA Panel Discussion this January.  Two of the previous ATHENA Award recipients as well as a recipient of the ATHENA Young Professional will join us for a discussion of their achievements, challenges and future hopes.  Karen Miller, Linda Arnold and Kerrie Bloss will participate in this panel discussion led by KOMU-TV’s Jim Riek. 

Find out about their career paths, how they’ve overcome obstacles and what they each look forward to in the coming years.  We’ll also discuss what receiving these honors meant to each of them.

The ATHENA Award and the ATHENA Young Professional Award presented each year by Women’s Network are national awards providing recognition to individuals who have achieved success in their career, been active in their community and supported women. Our panel includes:

Linda Arnold - In 1999, Linda became the first ATHENA honoree in our community.  Her career in human resource management has given her a unique perspective through the years and the contribution she has made to our community through volunteer service is impressive.

Karen Miller - Our most recent recipient, Karen was honored with the ATHENA in 2011.  Her leadership efforts as a Boone County Commissioner and her significant community volunteer work provide her with a wide variety of experiences to share with us.
