Business Clothing Drive

It's time to clean out your closets! The Changing the Odds committee will be hosting a business clothing drive at the monthly luncheon on Thursday, September 21. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at PeachTree Catering & Banquet Center. Please bring your gently used business suits/attire, jewelry and shoes. Donations will be gifted to the Assistance League of Mid Missouri/Upscale Resale in preparation for the fall Changing the Odds Job Seminar that will be held October 28.

If you are unable to drop your donations off at the luncheon or attend that day, please drop them off at Upscale Resale on any of the following dates:

* Thursday, September 21 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

* Friday, September 22 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

* Saturday, September 23 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

About Changing the Odds...

The Women's Network Changing the Odds Committee hosts two free seminars a year for women in the Columbia area that are looking to re-enter the workforce and are facing barriers to doing so. The fall seminar will provide a day full of business and professional women offering guidance on identifying job skills, learning do's and don'ts of resume writing, gaining confidence for their next job interview and finding their dress for success style is provided. The women are then shuttled to Upscale Resale in the afternoon and given vouchers to shop for a business interview outfit.
