All of us deal with conflict in some manner - whether at work or in our personal lives. Imagine if the conflict you dealt with involved highly emotional college football players in intense situations played out on national television each week. Our August speaker deals with situations like that - and more - on any given Saturday each fall.

Matt Moore is a college football official for the SEC conference as well as an Executive Vice President at Shelter Insurance®. Throughout his career in insurance and as an official in one of the most competitive college football leagues, he has experienced the power that good communication and leadership provides in resolving conflict and crisis. Join us as he shares his insight and experiences with both humor and ideas for helping you work through your next conflict.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Matt began his career with Shelter as an adjuster in the Little Rock, Arkansas claims office. He served in the role of Claims Supervisor (Little Rock) and Branch Manager (West Plains, Missouri and Little Rock) before moving to Columbia, Missouri in 2000 as a Regional Claims Director. In 2005 he moved into the Marketing Department as the Director of Market Expansion. He became the Vice President of Claims in 2007 and was promoted into his current role of Executive Vice President in July of 2012.  In the fall, Matt spends his weekends as a football official working the referee position in the Southeastern Conference. He has received numerous post season assignments, including the 2010 SEC Championship Game and the 2013 Discover Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. In 2007 he served as the President of the Southeastern Conference Football Officials Association.
