"Social media is my jam. I love all things digital. And connecting with others gets me seriously jazzed.
I’ve been in the communication and marketing field for nearly 20 years. And I’ve learned a few things. I know how to create relationships through communication – whatever form that takes. Whether print, video, digital or analog, all communication must be personal, authentic, and strategic.
Guess what? That applies to a person’s social media presence as well.
One area where I think we all could use a bit of help is with our professional use of social media. Most of us (81%, actually, according to Pew Research) use YouTube. And somewhere around 70% of people use Facebook. But how you use social media personally is (or should be) different than how you use it as a professional.
In my business, I consult with business owners to form a strategy that gets them closer to their communication and marketing goals. I help business owners figure out which tactics align with that strategy. And, because I spent years in education, I’m here to teach people how to do it themselves as well. Unless, of course, they’d rather just let me do it. That’s cool, too. ;)"
Advance registration is appreciated. Online pre-registration is $20 for members and $25 for guests until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18. After the pre-registration deadline, walk-in attendees can pay at the door for $25.
Unable to join us in person? Virtual attendance is available for this event! As part of an ongoing effort to support our local businesses, all virtual participants who are registered by Tuesday, January 18 will receive a $10 restaurant gift card with their registration.
