Come out for the Social Hour and get the unique experience of having face-to-face conversations with individuals that will be leading the city, county and state for years to come. When you attend this event, you will get an experience you don't normally get to have. Individuals running for local and statewide seats for Columbia will be there to meet you and answer your questions. Make sure you register and become an engaged, knowledgeable and well-informed citizen. Employers always appreciate it and look positively at employees when they are well-informed citizens than those that are not.
Your registration will get you in the door where you will have the chance to build your professional network, meet the leaders, eat heavy appetizers and drinks. Make sure to bring your business cards to hand out and also to win some door prizes.
With the first presidential debate scheduled for later that night, make sure you become engaged on a local and state level and not just the national level. This is a great opportunity to do just that.
Individuals that are expected to be there include (in alphabetical order):
- State Senate:
- State Representatives:
- Boone County Commissioner:
- U.S. Senate:
- Boone County Treasurer:
Parking: You can park in the parking garages downtown and pay the hourly meter until 6 p.m. If you park on a metered spot on the street, you will need to pay through 7 p.m.
