Small Business Week 2014

Williams-Keepers LLC presents Small Business Week on May 3-May 7. Activities include a series of free informative seminars presented by the five finalists for the 2010 Small Business of the Year award and a special luncheon to honor the finalists and award winner. Finalists include: The Add Sheet!, Bucket Media, Inc., Midwest CompuTech, Designer Landscape, LLC and Trabue, Hansen and Hinshaw, Inc.

The week will kick-off at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, May 3 at Williams-Keepers LLC with a continental breakfast and ribbon cutting. 

Two events will be held on Tuesday, May 4. At 11:30 a.m., finalist Bucket Media, Inc. will hold a seminar entitled, “Maximizing Your Media Budget” at their office at 1123 Wilkes Blvd. Ste. 420. They will also provide lunch with Arris’ Pizza. At 4 p.m., finalist The Add Sheet! will present, “Not an Illusion” at their office at 111 S 9th St Ste 150 and will end with a fun happy hour.
 
On Wednesday, May 5 at 11:30 a.m., finalist Midwest CompuTech will present, “An Introduction to Cloud Computing for Small Business” at the Tiger Hotel Ballroom. Heavy appetizers will be served afterwards.

Two events will be held on Thursday, May 6. At 10 a.m., finalist Landscape Design, LLC will present “Dig, Rake and Roll: See What’s Shakin’ in the Landscape World” at their office at 7755 S High Point Ln. Finalist Trabue, Hansen and Hinshaw, Inc. will present, “THHinc about the Possibilities!” at 3:30 p.m. at their office at 1901 Pennsylvania Dr.

Small Business Week will conclude on Friday, May 7 with the Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon presented by The Callaway Bank at 11:30 a.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott. The keynote speaker for the luncheon is Kat Cunningham, president of Moresource, Inc.

Cost for the luncheon is $20 for Chamber members who register online or $25 for members or non-members who call in to the Chamber. Save $3 and register online. Eight-person tables may be reserved for $150.
