EPIC Service Project 2016: Red Shoe Bike Ride

The mission of EPIC is to engage, develop and celebrate emerging leaders through professional growth opportunities and social interactions. Part of that mission is to give back to the community through service projects that help the community.

The Red Shoe Ride is an annual bike ride benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. The race has three distance rides: 30 miles, 60 miles and 100 miles. We will be working two different stops that all rides will go through. The first location will be at the intersection of Highways J and H from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The second location will be at New Haven and Lemone Industrial Blvd from 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The second location will be at the intersection of Lemone Industrial Blvd and New Haven Ave. EPIC members will decorate each stop as well as hand out snacks, drinks and words of encouragement to the riders. We are also invited to the bike ride party at Shakespear's Pizza South.

The day will be broken up into four shifts total. A few weeks out, you will get an email asking for what shift you would like to work.

You don't have to be an EPIC member to volunteer. If you have family or friends that would like to volunteer through EPIC, we welcome them.
