This event will take place on Monday\, October 12\, 2015- Columbus Day.\n\nWe will be helping clean the pantry\; dusting\, scrubbing floors\, moving food and shelving and cleaning windows.\n\n \n\nThis volunteer opportunity is at the actual pantry\, located on Big Bear Boulevard.\n\n \n\nWe hope you will join us by spending two hours volunteering your time and man power for The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri. Once you are registered online\, someone will contact you about volunteering for a specific shift\; 2 - 4 p.m. 4 - 6 p.m. 6 - 8 p.m. Six to eight volunteers are needed per shift. While registration is not required\, due to limited space it is highly encouraged and appreciated!\n\n \n\nThe Food Bank is a regional disaster and hunger relief network that acquires and distributes millions of pounds of donated food annually. They are one of 14 food banks nationwide that does not charge agencies for the food it provides. Their food goes to soup kitchens\, emergency food pantries\, shelters for the abused and homeless\, programs for low-income children and senior citizens\, and rehabilitation centers.
